Greater pressure from environmental bodies and regulatory standards on its customers has seen Oregon Timber Frame up its game when it comes to business and environmental credentials

Oregon Timber Frame Ltd has further cemented its reputation with customer through successful certification to ISO 9001:2000 standard.

As one of the UK’s largest independent timber frame manufacturers, Oregon says it is committed to "quality and the process of continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations".

Jason Bullock, business improvement manager for Oregon said: “Following a recent audit by BM TRADA, we are now certified to ISO 9001:2000. This builds on our already well developed business processes, with continuous improvement and customer focus."

Business improvement teams (TOP Teams) have been set-up to work in all key areas of Oregon's business. "This ensures we are delivering added value to meet our customers’ needs," said Mr Bullock.

Oregon has also had both FSC and PEFC Chain-of-Custody certification for two years, which provides evidence that all their timber is obtained from sustainably managed sources  -  something which Oregon customers’, particularly those in England, are currently demanding.

“We anticipated our client’s requirements for Chain-of-Custody certification," said Mr Bullock. "There was little demand for this evidence two years ago, however, as our client’s face a much greater pressure from environmental bodies and regulatory standards, we are finding an increased recognition of its importance.”
